Westfield White City Extension

Westfield White City, London, has opened its highly anticipated £600 million extension, which adds 740,000 sq ft to the shopping centre, transforming it into the biggest in Europe.

 

Store concepts largely focus on the experience of the customer, including the 230,000 sq ft John Lewis store that anchors the scheme. The department store provides a “place to shop, do and learn”. In addition to daily fashion style talks, cookery masterclasses in a demonstration kitchen, and beauty treatments, the John Lewis department store offers a 'concierge style' service for customers, with travel advice and the option to book appointments for the 23 services offered in-store.

 

John Lewis MD Paula Nickolds said: “We're bringing to West London a new level of personalised, curated shopping which until now has been the preserve of boutique shops. It's also a place where we can build a far more personal relationship with our customers, bringing together the very best of our service offer and our outstanding partners.”

Our component mannequins, with a mix of metallic and neutral heads, complement the chic, white telephone box that they're displayed with - How very quintessentially British! 

The White Company  

 

White Company and The Little White Company are also a new addition to the Westfield expansion. Proportion has worked with the brand for many years supplying the VM kit, including some bespoke display fixtures. This time, they opted for an on-brand, white linen covered bust form with a brushed satin nickel, tripod base that suited their specific requirements. 

Charles Tyrwhitt

Additionally, we supplied mannequins and bust forms for Charles Tyrwhitt’s new store in the extension. Tyrwhitt’s own fabric was used to cover the papier-mâché heads for an impressive, on-brand look. We also supplied a wall-mounted head and collar display which innovatively showcases the variety of shirt collar shapes available. The display technique, that's unique to the brand, adds an element of charm and sophistication to the store and contributes to an enjoyable, fuss-free experience.
